• General

• Some members of my group share the same email address. Is it possible to have more participants same address ?

  You can create many participants with the same email address. The emails are always sent to the person concerned. Please note that the results of the draw are never sent via email.

• Is there a limit to how many participants join the group ?

  No there is no limit, the group may take the proportions that you desire, there is absolutely no problem.

• Is this site is compatible with all browsers ?

  Absolutely! No need to install modules such as flash or java, all modern browsers are supported natively:
  
  - Firefox 2 and +
  - Google Chrome
  - Internet Explorer 6 and +
  - Safari 3 +
  - opera 8 and +
  
  I highly recommend the browsers Chrome, Safari or Firefox because they are optimized for this type of software.
  (Avoid Internet explorer 6, it works but it is pathetic)

• Why keep advertising on the site ?

  As the costs of web hosting are not free, it allows the site to live by itself, without charging users for service rendered to them.

• Member

• I am a member of two groups on the site, but I have to go through authentication to pass from one to another ?

  To remedy the problem, you should change your profile information so that the two accounts are identical. The name, email address and password must be the same for each account you want to merge.

• I would like to report a problem on the site, how can i do it ?

  Use the link at the top right menu bar with the ladybug icon, where it says: "Report a bug". We will answer as quickly as possible.

• Can we change the gift order of the gift list ?

  Yes just above the gift list, on the right, there's two small arrows. Select the gift and click on the appropriate arrow to move it up or down the list.

• I forgot my password and my email address is no longer valid. What can I do to join my group ?

  Obviously without e-mail address you'll never receive your password with the function that allows you to recover it. In such a situation, please write to webmaster@echangecadeaux.com by sending us as much information as possible as to your old email address, your name and surname so that we can find you in the system and thus, take the necessary steps so that you can re-join your group.

• Group manager

• I did the draw, but I forgot to activate one of the participants. What can I do ?

  You have to reset the exchange in the Exchange section. This will allow you to launch draw again. Remember to inform your participants by sending an email to the whole group in the exchange tab.

• I want to change the email of one of my participants, but the field is not editable ?

  The names and email address are no longer editable once the participant has registered for the simple reason that if you change this information it will not be able to join the group. The participant can change its own information by himself.

• Is there a way to put a description, instructions or a theme for the exchange ?

  Yes, go to the exchange section, and open the component "Home page message" and enter your message. It will flash red for a few seconds when a participant will logs in.

• Is there a way to exchange gifts without the organizer beeing part of the draw ?

  Yes, go to the profiles section, select your name from the list and check "I do not want to be part of the draw. Obviously you can do this until the draw.

• Is it possible to prevent spouses to draw each other ?

  Yes, in the profiles section, there is a list box labeled "Will not draw this person (spouse)". Form the couples in that section.

• Why is the spouse list not editable in the profiles section ?

  It's probably because the draw as been done.

• Can I use the site outside the holiday season ?

  Yes the site is available year round.

• Is the information kept from one year to another ?

  Yes, when you come back the following year, the members, gifts, spouses, etc. everything is kept, it'll just reset the exchange and repeat the process with draw and invitation.

• I created a group by mistake. Is it possible to remove it ?

  Yes do this once your in the gift exchanger, select the group to remove if you are already part of several groups. Go into the exchange tab and open the last option which is titled: remove this group. Please note that all group parameters are editable. You do not have to remove it.

• Some members of my group did not receive their invitation, why ?

  Sometimes in certain situations, the email are mistaken for spam by spam filters. Just go into the spam folder for this purpose in your email software and users you should receive future invitation.
